Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the WR position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Holt's fall from grace was a rapid one. After eight straight thousand yard seasons, Holt struggled in 08, amassing only 64 catches, 780 yards, and 3 TD's. To be fair, it was not all his fault. The Rams are far from their "Greatest Show on Turf" days. Holt immediately becomes the head-liner, in a thin and un-proven wide receiving group. He will be Garrard's number one option, but his days as a 1,000 yard receiver may be over. Rumors have surfaced that he's lost a step, and a transition from turf to grass should only make matters worse. I respect my elders, but Holt will have to prove that he can still separate before I'm ready to buy.
League sources told the Post-Dispatch on Wednesday evening that former Rams WR Torry Holt will be paying a free-agent visit to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday. Jacksonville is in dire need of receiving help. St. Louis Post-Dispatch...
The Jaguars handed Maurice Jones-Drew the keys to their running game Monday when they released veteran Fred Taylor. That means Jones-Drew will now becoming the starting running back after alternating with Taylor the past three seasons. And while ...

Draft Analysis
Round 2, Pick 12
Positives Holt is an all pro who gives you just what you expect every year, top 5 numbers. At the 2-3 elbow I'm looking for that sure thing. Negatives Holt is coming off Knee surgery in Feb from a torn miniscus that he's suffered from and played through for 2 years and has stated he only 70% right now in recovery. He will remain a slight risk throughout the season but reportedly performed "above and beyond expectations" during minicamp and is practicing with full contact in camp right now. Im confident he will still be in the top 5 at seasons end. Draft Strategy Have to go with what's remaining of the top teir Wr's right here as relative value tells me the drop off at Rb 2 or 3 at this point will not be nearly as great as what will be left after the run on Wr's in the 3rd round. Boo Yah!

Round 2, Pick 7
Positives Martz is gone but STL still puts the ball in the air. SJax's running threat and I.Bruce on other side - I expect 90+ and 1300 from Holt this year. Negatives 31, 9 years in league - when will he start to show signs of slowing down? Draft Strategy 3rd WR off the board in GWS - 8 picks before draft comes back to me. I expect 4RB/4WR to go off before I pick again. WR dropoff from 3 to 8 (and Holt was my personal #1) is greater than RB drop 17 to 21. Actual picks from those 8 were - 1QB, 1 TE, 3 RB, 3WR. Round 3, Pick 5
Positives Top option in a strong offense, the pieces are still in place for the Rams offense to go off the charts. Negatives May lose some TDs to the running game, but overall not much negative to worry about with Holt. Draft Strategy Holt is 'in the conversation' as far as top 3 fantasy WRs. I have seen him ranked as low as #10 on some lists, not sure why, Holt will produce. (Contributed by: doug_coutts)
