Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the QB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Mangini wants to implement a ball control offense centered around a bruising running game and a conservative passing game. His way of saying this is an open competition is just to keep Quinn on his toes and DA's trade value still above water. Quinn's starting week 1, he's a perfect fit for this offense. His "don't take any chances" style, is exactly what Mangini wants out of his QB.
