Strength of Schedule
Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the TE position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Fantasy Analysis
Shockey has shown strength and leadership, playing despite being clearly hurt, but an injured player can only do so much.
Receiving: 2 Receptions, 25 Yards, 0 TD.

After a disappointing season, it's easy to understand being worried about Shockey. However, he's ready to play and has Brees throwing the ball. Looking past him could be a mistake.

Receiving: 60 Receptions, 620 Yards, 3 TD.

Draft Analysis
Round 11, Pick 4
Positives
When on the field, Shockey is a big part of the Saints passing offense. No need for me to discuss the virtues of Drew Brees here, suffice to say, if Shockey is able to keep himself on the field, I see big numbers out of him.
Negatives
Injuries have really taken a toll on Shockey's fantasy numbers, can he play a full season's worth of games?
Draft Strategy
After missing out on the first wave of TEs, to me this seems to be a good time to grab one. There have been 10 selected, I like the group here so I'm going to jump in and get one before teams start to grab a backup (I will be riding with a single TE). I definately like Shockey at this point in the draft, I'd like even more if he could stay healthy and play every week but we all can't have everything that we want! (Contributed by: doug_coutts)
