Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the WR position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
I keep expecting him to take a step back, Ward keeps proving me wrong. I don't think it's too late to move beyond past mistakes, I'm willing to ride this guy out until he physically falls completely apart. You'd think a guy who plays like Ward would have crumbled by now, but here we are. He'll net you WR2 production at a WR3 price. Buy.
Man, what's up with losing at home to the crapball Raiders?
I'm bumbing about the Pats losing at Miami. But I can console myself somewhat by saying, Well, at least we didn't lose to the friggin Raiders....
I'm thinking we can still get in. We have to have Ben and Polamalu though. Anything less will prove to be the end of a promising year. I'm still disgusted with the chokes we've had this year. We should have beat the Bengals both times, the ...
Will the running game pick up?
How much are we missing Polamalu?
Can Ben do everything on offense?
Will the refs continue to let people hold Harrison every other play?...

15. Wide receivers Limas Sweed and Kevin Curtis will be available for trade this week. Do you think anyone takes one? I doubt ...

Draft Analysis
Round 5, Pick 6
Positives 4 straight 1000 yard seasons despite playing for a power running team. The Steelers are among the best teams in football, ensuring that he'll get more than his fair share of red zone looks. Last season's 80 catches was actually something of a down year, which makes him money in the bank for this format. Ward is a fiery competitor who likes getting physical, and there may be no better possession receiver in football. He has a spotless durability record as well, which is somewhat surprising given his willingness. Negatives The loss of Burress and Staley's recent knee surgery may make it difficult for Ward to find open space. He doesn't have deep speed, and even if he did his QB is not the most accurate deep ball thrower. Ward is not a guy who's going to challenge for top fantasy WR honors, and he's not the focus of his team's game plan. Wasn't a major factor in the second half of last season, having only 1 day with more than 4 catches for weeks 9-17. Draft Strategy With 5 rounds in the bank, my team is shaping up nicely. Ward is a steady guy who has some nice upside, exactly what I look for in a WR2. I really haven't had to think too hard about any of the picks in this draft, it's mostly just selecting the player that falls to me. I see Ward as the last member of the WR1.5 tier, and if he wasn't on the board I would have had quite a bit of thinking to do about this pick. (Contributed by: Agenda42)
Round 6, Pick 3
Positives Hines is an elite WR who can put up top 10 WR numbers. Negatives He struggled last season when Big Ben took over at QB for the Steelers. Couple that with a contract disputed holdout, and Ward is a risky pick. There are rumors that he plans to hold out until week 6 (which still allows him to become a free agent next season). Draft Strategy I could not pass up the chance to add a talented WR to my roster. Yes the holdout is a concern, but I expect that the contract situation will get worked out and Ward will be playing starting week 1. (Contributed by: Greg_Allen)
Round 3, Pick 9
Positives Go-to receiver on a team losing it's short-yardage back. Capable of producing an 80-catch season again - and possibly add more TDs with Bettis gone. Negatives Hamstring. Draft Strategy Needed a WR in Rd 3 after drafting 2 RBs. Was looking to go upside again with Addai who went just after but couldn't pass on a stud WR. (Contributed by: Mary)
