Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the WR position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Cotchery becomes the #1 WR with the departure of Coles to the Bengals, his receiving numbers and yardage dropped last season with Favre as quarterback. With the either Sanchez or Clemens as the starting QB for the JET's Cotchery's production could take another hit, opposing defenses will be paying more attention to him. Look at Cotchery as #3 WR with some potential upside.
The season isn't officially over and I think the Jets playoff run is giving Rex some sort of extra bravado to keep his mug in the limelight. I'd obviously prefer a low profile from my coach until the pre-season.
I'll preface this by saying that ...
Pro Bowl running back Thomas Jones, who hasn't participated in any of the Jets' voluntary workouts because he's unhappy with his contract, will end his boycott next week and report to practice Wednesday, according to his agent. The Jets' other ...
Mark Sanchez arrived at Jets headquarters Tuesday to find pictures of his recent photo spread in GQ splashed across computer screens and hung throughout the locker room. Teammates described the photos as steamy, racy and perfect for a pretty boy ...
Jets coach Rex Ryan had nothing but praise for holdout running back Leon Washington Thursday, but he wasn't as effusive about Washington's agent, Alvin Keels. Ryan, speaking publicly for the first time about Washington's decision to boycott ...
Cornerback Pacman Jones still wants to play in the NFL. Whether or not somebody wants him remains to be seen. The Jets have expressed interest, according to someone close to Jones, but are waiting things out. Jones' agent Worrick Robinson said he ...

Draft Analysis
Round 6, Pick 9
Positives I was very pleased that Cotchery fell to me as my WR2. I actually give him the rare designation of WR1a because he deserves it. He and Coles are pretty much IT for the Jets and that will equate to a large amount of targets for him. If he can come close to last years numbers, he will have earned this draft position.
Did I mention......I'm a Jet Fan. If I'm gonna have a Homer pick it might as well be JC. Negatives Breakout year was LAST year, the addition of Thomas Jones may amount to a decrease in opportunities for Cotchery. Draft Strategy Couldn't be happier to get him here. Now I have 4 RB's and 2 WRs and its time to get a QB. (Contributed by: RatSlinger)
Round 7, Pick 7
Positives Up and coming receiver on an up and coming team. He is a poor man's Coles, virtually the same player, but draftable 2 rounds later. Probably has more upside than Coles, he's younger and more explosive (he had a 70 yard TD agains New England last season), and there is room for both with the Jets. Negatives His lack of mileage is really a lack of experience, as last year was his first full season. Pennington is an injury risk and if he goes down Cotchery's numbers will shrink. Draft Strategy Quantity is the name of the game at WR this season, as there are lots of solid guys, and plenty with upside. My plan is to over-draft them, see who rises to the top, and play the matchups. Cotchery fits nicely into that plan. (Contributed by: Pat_Smith)
Round 8, Pick 2
Positives Great WR3 in a PPR league Negatives Still young so has some bust potential. Draft Strategy I took Vernon Davis on my 6.11 pick and thought either Santana Moss or Cotchery would fall through to my 7.2 pick. Moss went at 6.12, and thus I took Cotchery. (Contributed by: checo446)
