Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the TE position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
After amassing his highest total of reception yards (849) in a season last year, Cooley was only able to manage one trip into the end zone, quite the let down for fantasy owners. Cooley, a fantasy football participant himself, remains a red zone target for Campbell and undoubtedly will score more often in '09. A very safe pick as your #1 TE, you should be able to obtain him around the 7th or 8th round of your fantasy draft.
For all you disgruntled fans here is a website that one of my friends from the dc area put together in an effort to improve the orginization from the ground on up:
As a philly phan I personally like what Snyder has ...
What do you think of Cooley this year? I have always loved him as a player and fantasy player because he's as dependable as the sun coming up in the morning. He's never missed a game and barely any practice in his 5 year career. I love that he's ...
Clinton Portis made his last visit to John Thompson's radio show in D.C. on Wednesday and he didn't sound like a man enamored of his role on the Washington Redskins. He started by complaining about his seating assignment on the team plane and moved ...

Draft Analysis
Round 9, Pick 3
Positives Was the 2nd favorite receiver in Washington last season posting terrific numbers
103 targets/71 receptions/774 Yds/7 TDs .. There's a new Offensive Coordinator in town and he just happens to like to utilize the TE ... Saunders loved pounding the rock with Priest and then killin' ya with Gonzo ... well guess what with Portis and Cooley at his disposal I think the transition to the east coast will be an easy one for Mr Saunders. Negatives The Skins bolstered the WR corp with the addition of Randel El and Brandon Lloyd, but Gibbs has a history of liking to control the clock and the ball and keep things close to the vest as much as possible, I think the WR corp will see a little more verticality ... but I believe Saunders will continue to rely on Cooley as a high target receiver ... for a 9th round selection this could be a real steal! Draft Strategy If Cooley can equal last seasons numbers or even 90% of those numbers he could be the SOD in the Indian Whale Shark League!
In this format last season Cooley was TE4 with 183 points scored, almost 11.5 points per week, great value if he can repeat! (Contributed by: NSMapmaker)
Round 5, Pick 6
Positives Is deceptively more talented than he appears when you watch him play. Has started to establish himself as an every week offensive threat.
Is now playing in the Al Saunders offense which suits his skills and could make for elite (top 3) TE numbers this year. Negatives QB is almost as old as dirt. Portis' health could affect the running game and offense as a whole. New offensive scheme for the entire team, and learning curve could be a negative. Very tough division. Draft Strategy This may have been a slight reach, but Gates was gone and this was a player that I targeted this year as a breakout guy. Sometimes you have to go with a gut feeling and see if it works. If I'm right and he ends up putting up monster numbers, then my strategy of separating myself from the other teams at the less conventional positions gains some legitimacy. Round 7, Pick 1
Positives I have Cooley ranked just outside the top TEs, I see a monster year in store for him. Normally I wouldn't be taking a TE this early, but given the upside potential that exists here in my mind, I don't want to miss out on him. Cooley should not disappoint. Negatives Cooley won't be used in the same breath as guys like Gonzalez or Gates, and he hasn't proven over the long term that he can be a top TE. The Redskins offense can struggle at times as well. Draft Strategy Though I have been a big proponent of waiting on both TE and QB, I feel this is a perfect spot for Cooley. I have him ranked above many of the TEs that are already off the board so I'd rather not see someone 'accidentally' take him since he is next on their list. I see a monster season in store for Cooley. (Contributed by: doug_coutts)
