Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the TE position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Daniels is one of the better pass-catching tight ends in the league and performed extremely well with Schaub under center. Although his reception and yardage totals were impressive, Daniels was not much of a factor in the red-zone, totaling only 2 TD's on the season. That number should improve. Daniels is quietly climbing many TE ranks. He should pull down an other 70 catches in 09. Keep an eye on how the Texans work rookie James Casey into the offense. He was a do-it-all man for the Scarlet Knights, playing 6 positions, amassing an impressive 92 catches, for a thousand-plus yards, and 9 TD's.
Because they are shorthanded at defensive back, the Texans are bringing in veteran cornerbacks Deltha O'Neal, Mike McKenzie and Jason Webster for tryouts Thursday. With Dunta Robinson missing camp because of a contract dispute and Jacques Reeves and ...
The Houston Chronicle reports that the Houston Texans have agreed to terms with quarterback Rex Grossman. The deal is for one season and a minimum of $745,000. He joins Dan Orlovsky and Alex Brink as backups to Matt Schaub....
Texans tight end Owen Daniels has become the second player to skip organized team activities this offseason because of a contract dispute with the franchise's front office. Daniels' agent, Alan Herman, said he and his client were told they would ...
Steve Slaton's 2008 season wasn't just nice. It was very nice. So nice that it is understandable to look at his production and project greatness for the Texans' second-year tailback. Slaton, who led the AFC in yards from scrimmage as a rookie, ...
If the Texans are unable to re-sign cornerback Dunta Robinson, it will change their philosophy entering the draft. Rather than pursuing a defensive end who can provide a pass rush opposite Mario Williams with their first-round pick, general manager ...

Draft Analysis
Round 8, Pick 1
Positives Great hands, great agility, in an offense that loves the tight-end. Negatives None Draft Strategy I needed a TE and Owen Daniels is one that I am seeing a break out year for. He is Houston's 2nd receiving option behind Andre Johnson, and he will be in for a good year no matter whether Schaub or Sage is throwing him the ball. (Contributed by: checo446)
Round 8, Pick 8
Positives TE ready to breakout! #2 receiver on a team where both QB's (Schaub, Rosenfels) like to throw to him when AJ is covered. Negatives None Draft Strategy (Contributed by: tlandavazo)
Round 9, Pick 7
Positives The best of the later round TEs. PPR helps, as he catches plently of balls, and could catch even more this year. The passing game in TX is ready to rise if they stay healthy. Negatives Not going to challenge for 90 catches, nor lead the league in TDs, pretty much just an above average fantasy TE. Draft Strategy He is a TE, and as such maybe a reach even at 9, but I wanted him over what was left, and did not see him coming around. (Contributed by: Pat_Smith)
