Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the DEF position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
2008 was not a good year for New England’s defense, they finished the season ranked as the 19th Fantasy defense. Questions remain as to who is going to replace
Vrabel. With the infusion of youth from the draft and head coach Bill Belichick focused on the defense and not the offense they will be better than last season.
Does any of you know what is the status of Sammy Morris? Bellicheck is a fantasy owners nightmare!!! why does he always have to be secretive about his injured players? It drives me nutZ!!!
Please if anyone has heard anything...let me know! ...
Top Ten reasons these players don't go over their 2007 stats.
10. Josh McDaniels just left town .... who's going to orchestrate the offense?
9. Kevin Faulk is getting old and slow.

According to multiple reports, the Patriots are considering a trade that would land Raiders linebacker Derrick Burgess in exchange for a second- or third-round draft pick. The 6-foot-2, 260-pound Burgess, who turns 31 on Aug. 12, is a two-time Pro ...
Now Jason Taylor is also a free agent. Just a few months shy of his 35th birthday, he's unlikely to command a megabucks contract or a long-term one. He's coming off a down year with the Redskins (just 3 1/2 sacks after averaging slightly more than ...

Draft Analysis
Round 8, Pick 7
Positives They could actually be better this year as LB R. Colvin should return. Although they lost NT Ted Washington, they did sign Keith Traylor, and drafted DT Vince Wolfork as possible replacements. Negatives None. Draft Strategy I thought T Holm may take Bell. If they had been there I would have looked at S Jackson and T Bell. Laugh if you want about taking a defense at this position in the draft, but this defense scored 249 points in this scoring format last season. Right now the only possible pick that could score more points is a QB, or super sleeper RB or WR.
I also looked at the Baltimore defense who scored 250 points last season, but I liked NE's matchups in week 15 and 16. (Contributed by: Mike_Rumsey)
Round 8, Pick 6
Positives Arguably the best defence in the NFL. Negatives None. Except it is a bit early to take a DT at 8th round. But I could find any other player interest me except Jeff Garcia as my 2nd QB. But he was taken right before my pick. Draft Strategy With the scoring system, the top DT can score as high as a good second WR. With my draft position right at the middle, I plan to be the 2nd team to take a DT. I believe all the other DTs are a tier lower than Baltimore and New England DT. It I could not take one of the two. I might wait till the last 2 round to take one. (Contributed by: Java)
Round 7, Pick 11
Positives This is by far the best defense out there, especially with McAlister holding out in Baltimore. They have it all and then they add Stubblefield. There isn't a team in the NFL I'd feel nervous about the Patriots facing. Negatives They have no weaknesses. Have you seen them play? Draft Strategy With nobody else that struck me as a gotta have player, I turned my gaze to filling out my starting roster. Rather than grabbing a mediocre TE, I felt the point scoring Patriots DST would be a very nice touch, even if it's relatively early in the draft. It sure beats running the Buffalo Bills DST out there every week. (Contributed by: Stankweasels 3000)
