Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the QB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
The 34 year old Delhomme put together a decent 2008 and should do the same behind a solid O-Line in 2009. However, the show in Carolina is on the ground, so pick up Delhomme late in the draft as a good backup.
there's this guy in the panthers huddle that has been making these things for a while but he is really getting good.
this is the latest one that he made for the panthers '09 offense.
for the '09 ...
everything i have seen and heard from this guy lets me know that there is a huge shift in the defenses mentality. last year the defense had a "bend but don't break" mentality but meeks is bringing a "find who has the ball a break ...

Draft Analysis
Round 10, Pick 2
Positives Delhomme had a season last year that noone expected. He is playing on a team that lost in the superbowl and is expected to contend again this year. Negatives Carolina is a team that doesn't rely on the offense to win football games. Draft Strategy I had planned on drafting 3 QBs and Jake was the last one remaining on the board that I would have drafted. So I had to decide to either go with just 2 QBs or to take him here. Adding Jake to my roster gives me the QB depth to help separate my roster from the others in this league. (Contributed by: Greg_Allen)
Round 10, Pick 7
Positives Jake had a great season last year and the the Panthers are a superbowl contention team again this year. He puts up good, consistant numbers every week. Negatives Not an explosive QB on a defensive minded team. Draft Strategy I had Plummer pre-drafted here as well as Miami's D, and Bettis, but they all went before my turn came up again. Again, there really wasn't any "gotta take" RBs left, and I thought Jake was the best value. But, I still have a bye week issue at QB, but my thoughts are the same with the RB situation, I will be able to pick up a servicable QB by week 3 when I need one. (Contributed by: mrkkti)
