Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the QB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Here we go! Brees and Peyton face off in what should be one of the better offensive Super Bowls we've seen. The Saint's playcalling suffered in the second half. Sean Payton will call a better game vs. the Colts.
He may not match last years passing yardage, but the last person to throw that many yards was Marino 25 years ago. Brees will be the first QB taken in your draft, probably in the late 1st-mid 2nd round.

This guy was hyped big-time for his accuracy at end of last year and of course he'll get a lot of chances with N.O.'s offense.
Will he definitely get his job back or do you think Carney is there to stay this year?...

Draft Analysis
Round 9, Pick 10
Positives He really bounced back in '04. Brees threw for 3100+ yards and 27 TD's in 15 games. He also had a couple of monster games in the middle of the season where he threw for 4 TD's and 5 TD's in back to back games. He managed to lead the Chargers to the playoffs and had a very good game against the Jets throwing for 300+ yards and 2 TD's. Negatives Philip Rivers is still breathing down his neck as the QB of the future, and he needs to prove that '04 wasn't a fluke. Draft Strategy This was a pretty straight forward pick. I needed a backup for Favre and Brees was the highest ranked QB left on my list. I also considered Leftwich but I decided to stick with Brees and hope that he can improve on his great '04 season. Round 9, Pick 6
Positives Brees had a magical 2004 season with one of the best TD/INT ratios in the league. His emergence at QB is the main reason why the Chargers went from worst to first. He brings exceptional accuracy to the table and has some of the most dangerous red zone weapons in the league in Gates and Tomlinson. His division boasts some scary offenses who will score points in bunches, forcing Brees to match them and making for some big fantasy days. Negatives Before last season, Brees stunk it up so bad that the Chargers had the first overall pick and ended up taking a marquee QB prospect. Rivers looks to be a live one and if Brees struggles it's not out of the question that he'll lose the job. Brees doesn't have great arm strength or elusiveness, and can't make all the plays you'd like him to. Beyond Gates and Tomlinson, there's no clear target to throw to at the WR position. Draft Strategy In a format without trades, you've got to make sure to have all the QBs you need on your roster. Brees is a guy with some nice upside to go along with his fantasy backup status. Unlike the guys behind him (Carr, Leftwich, Pennington) Brees is a guy who's already put up fantasy starter numbers. Basically, this pick is just a luxury, brought on by the fact that I don't need much more at WR and the remaining RBs aren't particularly attractive. (Contributed by: Agenda42)
Round 9, Pick 8
Positives A Pro Bowler. With 3159 yards and a 27 TD performance for an injured QB last season, taking him in the 9th round would have been too hard to pass up! He was in the top 15 for passing yards last season and in the top 10 in TD production, not bad for a guy who was injured since the 4th game! Negatives Beside Gates and Tomlinson, San Diego doesn't have huge threats in the receiving arena. The veteran McCardell does bring some consistency to the table and the young receivers Reche Caldwell and Eric Parker are untested yet. Draft Strategy I needed my starting QB and I couldn't wait any longer. Fourteen QBs were already off the board and the 9th round left me with few choices so I decided I better grab the Pro Bowl QB Drew Brees before he was gone as someone else's 2nd stringer. Brees separated his left shoulder in the fourth game last season and played the rest of the year with the injury. Brees had his best season, throwing for 27 touchdowns with just seven interceptions and he made the Pro Bowl. The developing receivers Reche Caldwell and Eric Parker may prove to be a bonus for Brees. As a ninth round pick, I think he is great value here. (Contributed by: mrkkti)
