Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the PK position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Finishing as a top 3 Fantasy kicker last year, expect more of the same for Akers in ‘09. After a dismal performance in last year’s NFC Championship game in which he missed a FG AND EVEN an XP, Akers’ job is still secure. With this high powered offense, Akers will score… and score often.
First we lose the great Jim Johnson. Then we lose Stewart Bradley.who in my opinion was on course to prove himself ProBowl worthy this year. Now DeShaun Jackson hyper extends his knee (hopefully not serious), and promising rookie Cornelius Griffin ...
I, for one am glad to finally see some pizazz and variety to what till now has been a boring predictable offense. With McNabb due back this week, and moving forward, is it really a disruption to the offense or just him? :-k...
Eagles Juqua Parker, though, had the misfortune to be discovered with a small bag of marijuana in Bethlehem, as a passenger in teammate Todd Herremans' van early yesterday, during training camp, where every news outlet serving Eagles Nation is in ...
It makes sense that the Eagles might agree to at least guarantee some of the more than $19 million they are scheduled to pay Donovan McNabb over the next 2 years, and perhaps even boost that total. NFL Players Association figures released at the ...

Draft Analysis
Round 12, Pick 2
Positives A solid kicker on a winning team. The Eagles could very easily go 14-2 this season. The offense is high powered and should score a lot of points. David Akers will score points everytime the Eagles score. Negatives The Eagles could be scoring a lot of TDs, which means just extra points for Akers. Draft Strategy I was hoping to get Jeff Wilkins here, but David Akers is just as good. I now have 2 of the top 3 kickers based on the projections and more importantly my opponents have one less top kicker to choose from. (Contributed by: Greg_Allen)
Round 12, Pick 8
Positives One of the strongest legs in the NFL. His offense may be improved. Second year at the new stadium. I look for defense to provide more scoring opportunities for the offense. Negatives Swirling winds at the stadium gave him some problems last year. An expected improvement on offense may actually provide for more TDs and less FG chances. Vanderjagt seems to be better than the rest by a fair margin, so this may have been too early. Draft Strategy I have a slight bye week problem on week 5. We'll try to resolve that in the final rounds of the draft [autodraft mistakes made this not happen]. I guess we'll check the waiver wire in the final days before the season starts. I also have the first 4 weeks of the season to sort out a few things. He's a fine kicker. He'll be in my lineup for about 16 weeks if everything else goes alright. (Contributed by: Sentient_Beings)
Round 12, Pick 2
Positives He's among the most consistent kickers in the game on a very nice offense. They should get him plenty of chances to score. Negatives None...he's FG Jesus. Draft Strategy I needed a kicker and figure that Akers, my preferred target, would be taken sooner than later, especially after seeing Vanderjagt go earlier. (Contributed by: Stankweasels 3000)
