Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the DEF position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Not only are the Broncos in the process of switching to a 3-4 defensive scheme and appear to be missing the necessary personnel at some key positions, but every starting player in the secondary not named Champ Bailey has been replaced. Denver finished last in turnovers, a year ago, and among the worst teams in every other major defensive category. Dallas, New England, and San Diego are on the schedule early on, but so are a couple of teams which did little to intimidate opposing defenses in '08. We should have a far better feel for how improved (if at all) Denver's fantasy defense by Week 7, its bye. Don't bother draftin'em!
Broncos spent high picks for these two and they both really didnt make any visisble effects, imo. Do you see any improvement going to come for these rookies. I am worried about them because ayers was a one-year wonder on tennesse and alphonso ...

Positives New defensive coordinator Jim Bates joins the Broncos defense that should improve the pass rush and imcrease the 17 INTs from a year ago. The run defense should also be improved as DJ Williams takes over for Al Wilson at MLB. Negatives CB Darrent Williams was shot and killed at a nightclub on New Years. How the defense will respond is yet to be determined. Draft Strategy I had the Broncos ranked as the fifth best defense and that's exactly where they were selected. I was able to wait until round ten to grab my first defense which is a strategy I follow on a consistent basis. Never spend an early pick on a defense. (Contributed by: Ron_Anish)
