2005 Draft Central
Average Draft Position (ADP) Tracker
Draft Analysis
Round 8, Pick 7
Positives
A proven starter on a strong offense, had a solid 2nd half of the season in 2004.
Negatives
Inconsistent at times, no longer a big scrambling threat.
Draft Strategy
I waited a while to grab a QB, because I felt the talent pool was fairly deep. I'm fine ending up with a guy like Brooks in the 8th round. I will want to get another QB soon though, to hedge my bets. (Contributed by: Phyrre56)

Round 7, Pick 2
Positives
From a fantasy perspective he is actually pretty consistent. Puts up good yardage regularly with a very respectable TD number.
Negatives
From a real life perspective he is very inconsistent and there always seem to be rumblings about benching him.
Draft Strategy
QB's are dropping steadily. There are actually about 6-7 that I considered here and I gave some very serious thought to waiting through to the Round 8/9 turn, but I dont have any other options screaming at me at other positions. So I will play it safe here and take a starting QB to round out my offensive skill position starters. (Contributed by: Budman)

Round 7, Pick 7
Positives
Brooks is a great fantasy quarterback. He always finds a way to put up fantasy numbers. I see no change this year. While he may not be a perfect QB, his versatility and toughness keep him on the field and a threat to opposing defenses.
Negatives
Alot of folks are down on him for his inability to win games. He makes more bad throwing decisions than most starters.
Draft Strategy
I am glad Brooks dropped to me, I was hoping to land him here. RB-RB-WR-WR-RB-RB-QB-? I need at least one more RB, there are no more starters left, but there is talent. (Contributed by: RatSlinger)
