Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the DEF position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
The Packers defense was hit and miss last year, mostly miss. They should improve on their 2008 campaign, but I don't see them as being a fantasy force. A fantasy starting unit? Perhaps, but not one of the top or even second tiers.
Last season, the Packers had some awful luck. they outgained their opponents significantly but couldn't win games. They went 6-10 but 7 of those losses were extremely close, by an average of 3 points if memory serves me.
This season seems like ...
O-line, O-line, O-line , Tackle, Tackle lets start the chant...

Draft Analysis
Round 14, Pick 7
Positives A good defense that will get it far share of turnovers as it plays 6 games against Harrington, Grossman and Culpepper.
A great running game will help this defense stay fresh. Has some playmakers. Negatives
Draft Strategy As a few kickers went off the board since my last pick I will wait at least another round. I like carrying two defenses and Green Bay should be a good compliment to Philly.

Round 15, Pick 1
Positives Eighteen other Team Defenses have been chosen before I took the Packers D. Are they really this bad? No, I don't think so. Their 32 takeaways last season was good enough for 10th place in the NFL in 2003. They didn't produce many sacks, only recording 34 which was a few less than the average team. They were 11th in the league in Point Allowed at 19.2. Negatives Like most other successful fantasy Defensive Teams, they'd be looking a lot better if they could produce more turnovers and sacks. Last Year they were pretty average. Draft Strategy Having just locked up my first Defensive Team with the last pick 14.12, I decided to grab another here at 15.1. No major defensive players were lost during the off-season for the Pack so I expect similar middle-of-the-road production in 2004. (Contributed by: DTchorz)
Round 16, Pick 8
Positives Steady defense for the last few years, nothing special, won't hurt you, and a top 12 unit. Negatives Won't have too many big games for you. Draft Strategy When taking your starting defense in the last round of the draft, you are looking for consistency, if you can find it. Green Bay is it. Have some other defenses I think could suprise, but if I take them and they fail, I could lose out on the Packers. Rather take the consistent def and take the chance on losing a shot at a surprise def. (Contributed by: Wolfie)
