Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the QB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Not that he was lighting the world on fire, but Dwayne Bowe being absent from the lineup tears the top off Smith's upside as a fantasy quarterback. Despite transitioning to a different defensive scheme and Alterraun Verner departing via free agency, Tennessee poses a formidable challenge for Alex.
While Smith's first season in Kansas City was widely regarded as an overall success, he didn't impress with his final 2013 numbers. The 10th-year pro set new career highs in completions, attempts, passing yards, touchdown passes and rushing yards, but his statistics are pedestrian by NFL standards. With Jamaal Charles and an elite defense dominating games during the first half of the season, Smith operated mainly as a game-manager. However, from Week 11 through the Wild Card round of the playoffs, Smith, who was clearly more comfortable in head coach Andy Reid's West Coast offense, averaged a rock-solid 253.1 passing yards and 2.6 touchdown passes per contest. The Kansas City triggerman also compiled an impressive 18:3 touchdown-to-interception ratio. As you may remember, Smith threw for 378 yards and four touchdowns during the Chiefs' playoff loss to the Indianapolis Colts. While it's doubtful the 30-year-old Smith will crack the ranks of the top-10 fantasy passers in 2014, his promising late-season production makes him a nice high-end QB2 with modest upside. Leading pass-catchers Charles and Dwayne Bowe are both returning. Bowe is coming off a very disappointing season, but he looked great in the playoffs. The Chiefs are hoping youngsters Travis Kelce and A.J. Jenkins can emerge as regular contributors with Donnie Avery and Anthony Fasano operating as competent secondary targets.
I have no faith in Matt Cassel, he stinks or is horribly average, QBs don't improve suddenly when they hit their 30's.
We need a slogan.
Like 'Suck for Luck'
'Starkly for Barkley'
'Sparsely for Barkley'
this is going to be tough......
It appears the Chiefs have little interest in signing Matt Cassel to a long-term contract before the start of the season. Or, more likely, Pioli lost interest in signing Cassel to a long-term contract once Kansas City's first-time general manager ...
I'm watching the Chiefs season get closer and closer to the trash can and I hate it. Losing to the the Broncos is pathetic. I'm angry so don't take this as giving up on them. I just can't believe that Tebow threw for under 100 yds and rushed for ...
Let me start by saying that I love Jamaal Charles. I drafted him in 6 out of 6 leagues last year and I watched every snap of every game as well. There is also a great possibility that Charles has 1500-2000 yards(or more) this season. Here is the ...
