Strength of Schedule
Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the RB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Fantasy Analysis

While the rest of the NFL is converting to a RBBC (Running Back By Committee) approach, Jacksonville is doing the opposite. After the release of veteran Fred Taylor, the Jags have given MJD the keys to the castle. Fantasy owners have been watching and waiting, imagining what Jones-Drew could do with a season full of legitimate touches. The waiting is over! Look for coach Del Rio to re-establish a run-first philosophy behind a revamped offensive line. MJD is part of a dying breed known as a four-down back. His speed is surprising and his stature misleading. He is proven in short-yardage situations and is just as reliable as a receiver. His every-down versatility gives him tremendous up-side. MJD's current ADP (Average Draft Position) is #2 overall. Much pre-season hype has him in contention for Fantasy MVP honors.

Rushing: 1200 Yards, 12 TD.
Receiving: 65 Receptions, 575 Yards, 2 TD.

How are the sharks feelings about Torry Holt this year?...

2007 Draft Central
Average Draft Position (ADP) Tracker
Draft Analysis
Round 2, Pick 7
Positives
Staying with RB, RB plan, he was best available. Jax should put solid points on the board this year and I expect MJD to be a big part of the offense.
Negatives
Sophmore slump?
Draft Strategy
Thought long and hard at this pick. Steve Smith was available but I have been burned in the past by taking a WR in 2d round. RBs are going like hot cakes and waiting until 3rd for a good RB2 is next to impossible. (Contributed by: GTOsRule)

Round 2, Pick 8
Positives
Only looks to improve on his rookie year. Total package rush/rec.
Negatives
with crowded backfield in Jacksonville, i.e. Fred Taylor and possibly Greg Jones, may not get as many carries as I'd like.
Draft Strategy
At this point in the draft there is still a lot of great wr out there I could not pass up on Jones-Drew. (Contributed by: Hoots_89)

Round 2, Pick 4
Positives
Was electric with the football last season, racking up 15 TDs and an amazing 5.7 ypc. Made the top 10 in only 212 touches. Really turned it on down the stretch, scoring in each of the last 8 games. Jacksonville has a bunch of guys who get it done between the 20s, but no big scoring options other than Jones-Drew.
Negatives
Not likely to receive the most carries on his team. Small frame makes you wonder about his durability. It is possible that either Matt Jones or Marcedes Lewis will develop into a scary red zone beast. Jacksonville's QB situation is sufficiently iffy to worry about whether Jones-Drew will get enough red zone opportunities.
Draft Strategy
If you're trying to win from the tail, you need 2 RBs. The gap between the top WR and the #5 WR just isn't anything to write home about. In a PPR league, you need to go further and get 2 RBs who can catch. This is a tall order, and both my backs have questions to answer. That said, Bush and MJD give me a chance to win, and that's all you can ask for from the tail end of the draft. (Contributed by: Agenda42)
