While the rest of the NFL is converting to a RBBC (Running Back By Committee) approach, Jacksonville is doing the opposite. After the release of veteran Fred Taylor, the Jags have given MJD the keys to the castle. Fantasy owners have been watching and waiting, imagining what Jones-Drew could do with a season full of legitimate touches. The waiting is over! Look for coach Del Rio to re-establish a run-first philosophy behind a revamped offensive line. MJD is part of a dying breed known as a four-down back. His speed is surprising and his stature misleading. He is proven in short-yardage situations and is just as reliable as a receiver. His every-down versatility gives him tremendous up-side. MJD's current ADP (Average Draft Position) is #2 overall. Much pre-season hype has him in contention for Fantasy MVP honors.

Draft Analysis
Round 15, Pick 9
Positives Rookie with fresh legs. Negatives Unproven rookie who may not get enough playing time. Draft Strategy I always reserve rounds 15 & 16 for young RBs with potential, preferably as backups to running backs on my team. As Greg Jones was nabbed early in the draft, I gambled on Maurice proving himself, in the next few weeks, to be a capable backup to Fred Taylor. If he does not pan out, then he will be the player I drop to pick up a TE for Witten's bye in week three. (Contributed by: GTOsRule)
Round 16, Pick 5
Positives Young and explosive RB. Could do some pass catching, could return some kicks. Negatives Lots of RB's on the roster around him, could end up buried and getting nothing all year. Draft Strategy Took a 16th round gamble on a guy who might get me some points at some point. Fred Taylor is bound to get hurt, Greg Jones is now out (Jones injury occured post draft but pre-commentary), who knows. (Contributed by: Budman)
