Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the RB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
After a disappointing 2007 performance Jones rushed for a team record 13 TDs. Hoping to cash in on his 2008 performance Jones sat out voluntary early spring team activities seeking a reworking of his current contract. The Jets did not re-work Jones contract but did acquire his possible successor by moving up in the third round of the 2009 NFL draft and selecting Iowa RB Shonn Greene. If you are targeting Jones use caution based on his age, injury history, and the possibilty of Washington seeing an expanded role in 2009.
The season isn't officially over and I think the Jets playoff run is giving Rex some sort of extra bravado to keep his mug in the limelight. I'd obviously prefer a low profile from my coach until the pre-season.
I'll preface this by saying that ...
Pro Bowl running back Thomas Jones, who hasn't participated in any of the Jets' voluntary workouts because he's unhappy with his contract, will end his boycott next week and report to practice Wednesday, according to his agent. The Jets' other ...
Mark Sanchez arrived at Jets headquarters Tuesday to find pictures of his recent photo spread in GQ splashed across computer screens and hung throughout the locker room. Teammates described the photos as steamy, racy and perfect for a pretty boy ...
Jets coach Rex Ryan had nothing but praise for holdout running back Leon Washington Thursday, but he wasn't as effusive about Washington's agent, Alvin Keels. Ryan, speaking publicly for the first time about Washington's decision to boycott ...
Cornerback Pacman Jones still wants to play in the NFL. Whether or not somebody wants him remains to be seen. The Jets have expressed interest, according to someone close to Jones, but are waiting things out. Jones' agent Worrick Robinson said he ...

Draft Analysis
Round 4, Pick 6
Positives Former first round pick, teamates hate his competition Cedric, plays in a weak defensive division Negatives Injury, splitting time with Cedric Draft Strategy Wanted to gamble here, and with Cedric Benson out, Thomas Jones is the man. Bears havea grind it out offense too. (Contributed by: Brad_Wyatt)
Round 5, Pick 1
Positives Jones has proven that he can do the job at a very high level. Last pre-season I was the only one on his bandwagon since everyone was waiting for the second coming of Cedric Benson. As the Benson holdout continued, the Jones bandwagon finally got a little crowded, and Jones did not disappoint those owners that took him in their draft. Once again, the Jones bandwagon of 2006 has plenty of room, I will continue to drive it at least until Cedric Benson is healthy enough to see some playing time. Negatives The Bears have made it clear that Cedric Benson is their future, if and when he is healthy enough to play, Jones could be kicked to the curb. Jones hasn't been completely injury free either. Draft Strategy Given my draft position (1.01, 2.12, etc), I don't mind trying to mix and match down the my RB list to try and find my RB2. Jones could very well fill that position. (Contributed by: doug_coutts)
Round 4, Pick 11
Positives Still should be the starter for a predominately running offense. Having Benson behind him will keep the motivation going. Negatives Not much of a passing game to open up the running lanes. Benson will take carries away if not outright taking the starting job at some point. Draft Strategy From the 2 spot, couldn't pass on the 1-2 punch of Moss-Harrison at WR1/WR2; but, left little on the board for a solid RB2. Was hoping Dillon or Foster would fall to this pick. Will pick another RB right away to shore up a shaky RB2 situation. (Contributed by: Faraim)
