The light seemed to turn on for Kyle last season, at least prior to his injury sustained against Detroit midseason. This was particularly evident between Chicago's home loss versus the Bucs in Week 3 and victory over the Vikings in Week 7. In this five-week span, he completed 62.7% of his passes for 274 yards/game and a respectable touchdown/interception ratio of 10-to-4, with a 96.0 passer rating. This in an offense which leaned heavily on its tight ends and running back, along with Devin Hester (first-year starter at wide receiver), Brandon Lloyd, Rashied Davis, and Marty Booker. Handpicked by new Broncos coach Josh McDaniels, he's the centerpiece of an offense that benefits from one of the better young wide receiver tandems in the NFL. This spread offense we'll be watching on Sundays isn't all that different from the system Kyle excelled in while at Purdue. He's a great QB2 to target, in that he could potentially outplay his draft position by a wide margin.
