Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the TE position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Gonzalez has got to be excited to play in Atlanta with Matt Ryan, along with Michael Turner and Roddy White. They'll help each other and Gonzalez definitely remains a top 5 TE.
The tone of Roddy White's negotiations with the Falcons has taken a turn for the worse. "I'm a little bit disappointed with the direction that the negotiations are going at this point," Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said ...
There have not been any takers since the Falcons announced in February that they planned to trade Michael Vick's contractual rights. If the Falcons can't find any takers, they would very likely release him outright, if he is reinstated. Vick would ...

Draft Analysis
Round 3, Pick 2
Positives WR playing TE. Outdistances other TE by large margin. 4 Year average for Tony is 75 recpt. for 950 yds. and 8 TD's. Those are WR2 numbers. Negatives It's a TE in the 3rd round. The ability of Tony to actually separate himself from the rest of his position as I project will define not only my draft but the success of my team. Draft Strategy Could have taken RB's or QB here. Only QB I like this early is Culpepper and he is already gone. RB's left all feel like a reach to me. Too many questions on each of them.
Note added after 7th round.
Hindsight 4 rounds later -- could have gone "safe" in the draft and picked C.Martin in this spot. (Contributed by: Cantebury)
Round 3, Pick 7
Positives He is like good 2nd WR. The level dropped a lot after him in TE position. Barring any injury, he is pretty much a lock as a Top TE. Comparing drafting a WR, he is a much safe choice. Plus the WR positions seems to be pretty deep and unpredictable. Negatives I won't take him if any one the top 6 WRs still left. Draft Strategy I was targeting WR Chad Johnson or Hines Ward with this pick. They just went right before my pick. I am facing a tough choice here. All the other WR I like I believe I will still have a good chance to get him in next round. The only QB I will consider here is long gone. Tony seems to be the only choice left for me. I was a little surprised that he is still here. Usually he is like a top 3rd round choice in most TE required leagues. (Contributed by: Java)
Round 3, Pick 6
Positives The five-time probowler is the Cheifs all-time leading receiver, and he's a Tight End. With 71 grabs last season, 916 yards and 10 TDs, he is as good as a WR. Negatives With stellar performances for the last five or so years, will he experience a let down? Draft Strategy I dreafted two solid RBs in the first two rounds. i wanted to go WR here, but the big dogs were gone, so I thought "Hey, TEs are required in this league, why not grab the best now, and one that is a WR in disguise?" Gonzo fit the bill. I really do not think I sacrificed anything here for two reasons; First, Gonzo puts up numbers like a 3rd round WR; and two, the only other TE that will come close to him is Heap. This will help my team out perform my competition at the TE position, and anything I lost by not taking a guy like S. Moss or Ward will be negligible. (Contributed by: mrkkti)
