Strength of Schedule
Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the WR position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Fantasy Analysis

Holt's fall from grace was a rapid one. After eight straight thousand yard seasons, Holt struggled in 08, amassing only 64 catches, 780 yards, and 3 TD's. To be fair, it was not all his fault. The Rams are far from their "Greatest Show on Turf" days. Holt immediately becomes the head-liner, in a thin and un-proven wide receiving group. He will be Garrard's number one option, but his days as a 1,000 yard receiver may be over. Rumors have surfaced that he's lost a step, and a transition from turf to grass should only make matters worse. I respect my elders, but Holt will have to prove that he can still separate before I'm ready to buy.

Receiving: 65 Receptions, 840 Yards, 6 TD.

Jacksonville Jaguars Team Talk
How are the sharks feelings about Torry Holt this year?...

Average Draft Position (ADP) Tracker
Draft Analysis
Round 2, Pick 8
Positives
He has been one of the top three fantasy receivers for five years running. Plays for one of the league's best offenses. Brings his "A" game every week. Has a knack for making big plays and turning routine passes into touchdowns.
Negatives
He's not Harrison or Moss.
Draft Strategy
Like most folks, I try to get a running back with my second pick if I feel there is a good value still on the board. But I think the last real solid RB pick disappeared at 2.06 when Tony selected Stephen Davis. I can't justify passing up on a stud like Torry Holt for the likes of Rudi Johnson or Travis Henry. My next pick comes soon enough that I should be able to get a second starting RB. In the survivor format, I feel I am better off taking a sure thing now and looking for a guy who could have a few explosive weeks in the 3rd round. We'll see what's still available when I get there. Round 1, Pick 12
Positives
I had Holt last year in another league and he did well. Now that Warner has moved on, Holt will continue to see more looks as he is Bulger's favorite target. Martz loves to throw and with the questions at RB, the Rams will throw if they want to continue to win. Last year he caught almost 120 catches and 1700 yards. I loved the fact that his TDs went drastically up (12) and he had something like 10 games with 100 yards or more. Bruce is enough of a distraction to keep defenses honest, but Bulger looks for Holt.
Negatives
He had some small injuries late last year which affected his performance at the end of the season...Faulk needs to at least keep defenses honest and Bulger needs to stay healthy.
Draft Strategy
At the last pick, I feel you really need to look at grabbing a stud WR. 2 mediocre RBs just won't do when you don't get to pick for another 22 picks. With Moss gone, I debated between Harrison and Holt and even thought briefly about drafting both...I think Holt will put up more yardage than Harrison and catch more balls, which in this league will net a few more points. Both are studs, but I think Holt will outperform Harrison once again. (Contributed by: dacommish)

Round 2, Pick 8
Positives
Elite WR on one of the league's best offenses. Led the league in receptions and yards last season. Will see less holding in the secondary with new rule enforcement. Also will likely see another season of 100+ receptions, a huge benefit in a 1/catch league.
Negatives
Last season notwithstanding, not a huge red zone threat. Receivers with as big a season as 2003 Holt usually regress. Not as physical as Moss or Owens. Faulk and Bruce are slowing down, which may mean more attention for Torry.
Draft Strategy
There's really very little strategy to it this early in the draft, folks. You take the best available player, period. Holt is a can't-miss player, and a guy I didn't think would last to 2.08. (Contributed by: Agenda42)
