Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the LB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Ryan Leaf and Peyton Manning came out of college together and, as the two hot QB prospects that year, compared notes from time to time about their experiences. After they were drafted, Manning told Leaf about how well the Colts organization treated ...
I'll be darned if I know since Plax left. They are hyping Domenik Hixon a bit but not much.
Eli is way down on draft boards this year but I am curious to to take him as a QB2 and find his best hook-up. I'll watch through preseason but who do ...
The Giants have called the Browns about Braylon Edwards, who reportedly would welcome playing for the Giants if he was traded. Arizona still hasn't signed Anquan Boldin to a new deal, although he has two years remaining on his old one. Cards coach ...
Osi Umenyiora (knee) is participating with only "some restrictions" at the Giants' offseason program. Umenyiora said he was 80% in late February and should be closer to full strength now. Umenyiora will be in more of a rotation this year ...
There are plenty of obstacles to Plaxico Burress' returning to the Giants: his legal situation, a potential suspension by the NFL and the Giants' impatience with his off-field issues. As if those factors didn't make the situation complicated enough, ...

Draft Analysis
Round 1, Pick 6
Positives - Solid steady performer the past few years (when not injured)
- Playing MLB on a vastly improved defense should help his numbers
- A heady player and a hard worker, he plays his position very well
Negatives - Coming off of an injury that sidelined him most of last year
- Playing on a defense that has a lot of talent around him could cut into his numbers a little
Draft Strategy When I predrafted the night before the draft, I figured that I was looking at Zach Thomas, London Fletcher, or Pierce with this pick. I went with Pierce as I felt Thomas is starting to get slightly injury prone and I think Fletcher's stock is going to drop a little this year because of the defensive line changes Buffalo has made.
Pierce is probably one of the most underrated LBs in the league. He very quietly put up some very respectable numbers in Washington the couple of years that he played there before coming to the Giants, and last year he was on his way to posting a great season until he got hurt. I think the Giant's defense is going to wreak havoc this year and Pierce will be a major force.
In hindsight, this might have been a slight reach with Mike Peterson still on the board, but Pierce is one of those guys that I really wanted to try to get on my team this year. We'll see how it goes, but I'm very pleased to add him to my squad. Welcome aboard Mr. Pierce! (Contributed by: seadog)
