Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the DEF position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
The JET's were one of the better fantasy defenses for the 2008 season. With the addition of former Ravens defense coordinator Rex Ryan as head coach and the additions of Bart Scott and Lito Sheppard teamed with Pro Bowlers: Kris Jenkins and Darrelle Revis they will be one of the earlier fantasy defense selected.
The season isn't officially over and I think the Jets playoff run is giving Rex some sort of extra bravado to keep his mug in the limelight. I'd obviously prefer a low profile from my coach until the pre-season.
I'll preface this by saying that ...
Pro Bowl running back Thomas Jones, who hasn't participated in any of the Jets' voluntary workouts because he's unhappy with his contract, will end his boycott next week and report to practice Wednesday, according to his agent. The Jets' other ...
Mark Sanchez arrived at Jets headquarters Tuesday to find pictures of his recent photo spread in GQ splashed across computer screens and hung throughout the locker room. Teammates described the photos as steamy, racy and perfect for a pretty boy ...
Jets coach Rex Ryan had nothing but praise for holdout running back Leon Washington Thursday, but he wasn't as effusive about Washington's agent, Alvin Keels. Ryan, speaking publicly for the first time about Washington's decision to boycott ...
Cornerback Pacman Jones still wants to play in the NFL. Whether or not somebody wants him remains to be seen. The Jets have expressed interest, according to someone close to Jones, but are waiting things out. Jones' agent Worrick Robinson said he ...

Draft Analysis
Round 12, Pick 7
Positives Upgraded significantly in the offseason. They have a nice schedule for defensive potential and don't surrender many big plays. Negatives Not an elite defense. Draft Strategy Well, you have to take a defense eventually. In fact, I typically take two. This is the defense I'm expecting to make a big time move this season. (Contributed by: Agenda42)
Round 12, Pick 10
Positives Young, fast and tough. The Jets D made their mark last year and are primed to do it again this year. I like Vilma and Barton alot. Coleman at safety I like as well. With Herman Edwards always drafting defense first the Jets should remain in the top ten defenses year in and year out. Negatives Abraham holding out plus his knee injury....the pass rush could be suspect as well as the overall line play. Draft Strategy Homer pick again...heh. Seemed like a good spot to pick up the Jets D. I don't think they would have made it much further. (Contributed by: RatSlinger)
