Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the QB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Indications are out there that the Bengals want to run the ball more in 2009, given the nature of Palmer's injury in 2008 and the careful rehab process he has undertaken this makes sense. However, the team's offseason moves suggest otherwise. Given his current rate, I think taking the risk on him and finding out later if he bounces back as the Carson of old is the right move. Just be sure to pair him with another high upside option.
I can't believe nobody comes to the team talk and we are 7-2. We should be 10- 2 after Oakland, Cleveland, and Detroit. At least 9-3. I thought at the start of the year we might be a fringe playoff team at 9-7, I couldn't see better than 10-6. ...
How long you been a bengal fan, how long have you live in or around the Cincinnati area?
Personally, Im tired of the Cedric Benson bashing; B. Scott aint doing squat until Benson goes down. It amazes me from a couple years ago listening to the ...
1. Everyone knows I have a man crush on Bernard Scott... He will probably get a little at first and I think he may end up getting as much as 40 to 50% by seasons end. Possibly more if Benson can't cure his fumbling and pass blocking woes.
2. Our ...
T.J. Houshmandzadeh's apparent exit raises questions about the status of Chad Ocho Cinco, whose trade value has fallen significantly in the past year. By trading him, the Bengals could make a clean break from the diva-receiver years, if they are so ...
Last year at this time, Carson Palmer knew that the Bengals were going to be in for a rough season. As the Bengals begin their three-day mandatory minicamp Thursday, the attitude is different. "In my seven years here, this has been as good as ...

Round 5, Pick 3
Positives Palmer has a strong and accurate passing arm and is a natural leader both on and off the field, he's surrounded with talented skill position players both in the backfield with Johnson and Perry and on the wings with Super Chad Johnson and TJ Houshmandzadeh. Last season he stepped it up from his rookie years performance and dominated the QB position play with a 67.8% completion record, at least 1 passing TD in every game he played and had 12 multi TD passing games; In 16 games he completed 345 of 509 attempts for 3836 Yds for 32 TD's with 12 Ints a vast improvement over his rookie seasons 2897 Yds 18 TDs and 18 Ints; You can't realistically expect much more from a QB than that, but if he's healthy for the complete 2006 season ... don't be surprised if Carson out perform's last seasons numbers!
Negatives Palmer suffered a terrible knee injury on the first series of the Bengals 2005 playoff run ... with that injury the Bengal hopes for the SuperBowl faded quickly and Palmers future suddenly presented fans everywhere with question marks! His recovery is being followed closely by prospective owners everywhere and for every believer there are several non believers ... only father time and Carson Palmer can quell any concerns .. hopefully the scheduled preseason start in week 3 will provide the answer ... Palmer himself even questions his readyness, but if there's any hopes that he's good to go .. this guy's gonna be out there leading the Bengals again this season, looking for that magical march to the play-offs again! Draft Strategy If Palmer is good to go from the get go I'll be lovin' this pick ... if not I could be sealing my teams fate right here in round 5. Palmer has 2 dynamic sure handed WR's that can challenge any and every defensive backfield .. add in Perry as a 3rd down option out of the backfield, the super steady Rudi Johnson bullin' and bruising the interior and providing ample release time for the deep ball and Carson could better last seasons #'s ... this guy is on a mission after such an misfortunate injury last playoff season ... if he has his way and the Drs clear him as good to go he'll pick up right where he left off in 2005 (Contributed by: NSMapmaker)
Round 4, Pick 11
Positives In his first complete season as the starter, Carson Palmer silenced his critics by throwing 32 touchdowns and only 12 interseptions He has some great receivers to throw to in Chad Johnson, TJ Houshmandzadeh, and Chris Henry and the Bengals seem to only seem to be getting better. Negatives Coming off an ACL injury is tough for any player, and the injury could damper his production in the first couple weeks of the season. Draft Strategy I usually like to take a running back here just in case one gets injured but the value of Carson Palmer is too much to pass up here. Plus, I have some sleeper running backs I can take in the later rounds. If Carson Palmer stays healthy, this will be the pick of the draft for me. (Contributed by: howelwitzer)
