Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the QB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
From a fantasy aspect, do not expect much more than a #2QB from the 6th year signal caller, Manning. No secret here… but the Giants love to run the football. Eli will simply be asked to steer the ship, handing the ball off to his talented backfield and every once in a while, heave the pigskin forward to his “getting younger by the minute” receiving corps. With Amani Toomer now a free agent and Plaxico Burress being released, Manning will have two new starting receivers for the 2009 NFL campaign. His current ADP (average draft position) is 10.10 (12-team league) and I see no reason whatsoever to draft him any earlier than this.
Ryan Leaf and Peyton Manning came out of college together and, as the two hot QB prospects that year, compared notes from time to time about their experiences. After they were drafted, Manning told Leaf about how well the Colts organization treated ...
I'll be darned if I know since Plax left. They are hyping Domenik Hixon a bit but not much.
Eli is way down on draft boards this year but I am curious to to take him as a QB2 and find his best hook-up. I'll watch through preseason but who do ...
The Giants have called the Browns about Braylon Edwards, who reportedly would welcome playing for the Giants if he was traded. Arizona still hasn't signed Anquan Boldin to a new deal, although he has two years remaining on his old one. Cards coach ...
Osi Umenyiora (knee) is participating with only "some restrictions" at the Giants' offseason program. Umenyiora said he was 80% in late February and should be closer to full strength now. Umenyiora will be in more of a rotation this year ...
There are plenty of obstacles to Plaxico Burress' returning to the Giants: his legal situation, a potential suspension by the NFL and the Giants' impatience with his off-field issues. As if those factors didn't make the situation complicated enough, ...

Draft Analysis
Round 6, Pick 1
Positives 3700 yards, 24 TD, 17 INT....good stats...but nowhere near where his stats will be in the coming seasons...I look for 06 to be the beginning of his Peyton-like career...okay he is not Peyton and he does not have the Colts weapons...but he does have a great back behind him in Tiki who gives him a great outlet to dump the ball off to if he gets in trouble...Plax, Toomer and Shockey...throw in Moss now and he has weapons. I had him as the #4 QB overall and got him as the 8th QB taken. Negatives Prone to INT's he is still young and learning the NFL game. He will struggle at times especially playing in the tough NFC East. Draft Strategy At this time I was in need of a QB and seeing that Eli was available I knew this was the time and place to grab him...in this scoring system I did not feel it was urgent to have a Peyton type QB as TD's are only worth 3 points....better value elsewhere until now. The top TE's were gone so I was not going to waste a pick here on TE...filling my starting spots was my priority or else I may have gone WR here. (Contributed by: johnnyballgame)

Round 5, Pick 9
Positives He is coming into his own. Dump off passes to Tiki will help add up the points (especially if Tiki runs it in for a TD). He has a strong arm, loves to throw the ball, and most important he has a tendancy to throw the short pass for a TD when inside the ten yard line. Negatives His WR corps is not the best in the business so dropped passes and interceptions could be a concern. Draft Strategy I normally would wait until a later round to draft a QB but the upside potential for Eli was too much to pass up and the higher rated QBs were already off the board. It was either Eli or wait until the 7th or 8th round where the lesser QB talent was about equal. So, I pulled the plug. (Contributed by: GTOsRule)
