Season Projections
Per Jake Perper of Today's Pigskin, 2016 is a make-or-break year for McCoy. 'McCoy's seventh season is going to be a defining one in my eyes,' Perper said. 'He needs to stay healthy. He has the leadership skills and the heart to be the best, but being on the field throughout the entire 16-game season isn't easy. Tampa Bay is a team on the rise in the NFC South. The Bucs have a fun offense led by 2015 No. 1 pick Jameis Winston and veteran running back Doug Martin. The defense is led by McCoy, and he needs to do just that season: lead.' It's worth pointing out that from Week 1 to Week 5 last year, a healthy McCoy was the second-highest scoring DT in fantasy football. If Aaron Donald or Geno Atkins is too rich for your blood at the position, McCoy is a decent fallback plan.
