Strength of Schedule
Strength of Schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the DEF position. The easiest rating is 1 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the most difficult rating is 10 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Week 19 Projections
New England's defense allowed a league low 15.6 points per game during the regular season. They should be a great play at home Saturday Night against Osweiler who is usually good for a pick or two.
2 Sacks, 1 Ints, 1 Fumbles
It wouldn't be a season in New England without at least one eye-raising change for the Patriots on defense. This year it's the loss of defensive end Chandler Jones, who was sent to the Arizona Cardinals in a trade. Still, Bernd Buchmasser of SB Nation wrote that as always Billy's Boys should be just fine on defense. 'The Patriots have one of the deepest rosters in the NFL top to bottom,' he said. 'The defense is no different: the unit has talent at all three levels and should be able to have another successful season despite moving on from two of its most disruptive players in Chandler Jones and Dominique Easley.' However, this is a unit that finished just inside the top 15 in most fantasy scoring systems -- a similar production level in 2016 would land them in matchup play territory.
