Strength of Schedule
Strength of Schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the DEF position. The easiest rating is 1 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the most difficult rating is 10 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Week 1 Projections
Team defenses are generally so unpredictable, but Kansas City has several great defensive players that make big plays. Collectively that makes them one of the few elite defenses. Expect them to get the 2016 season off to a good start this week.
2 Sacks, 2 Ints, 0 Fumbles
Last year, the Kansas City Chiefs were a top-three fantasy defense in most scoring systems, thanks in large part to Justin Houston's pass rush and Marcus Peters' league-leading eight interceptions. Peters will be back in 2016, but the Week 1 status of Houston's injured knee remains very much up in the air. GM John Dorsey insisted to Marc Sessler of NFL.com that Houston will play in 2016 -- he just isn't sure when. 'Not being a medical expert, I really can't definitively tell you that answer,' Dorsey said, 'but I would say that our doctors have reassured us that he will play this season.' The Chiefs are going to need youngster Dee Ford to step up in a big way, and the Chiefs will still be a decent weekly fantasy start regardless. They just may not be an elite one without their best player on the field.
