Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the DEF position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
This defense is simply nowhere near their 2013 form. They aren't getting to the quarterback, aren't forcing turnovers, and can't stop the pass. Cross country road games are always tough. Don't expect them to turn it around this week but they are still a good fantasy defense and you play them.
The Seahawks bring the core of their defense back for the 2014 season and that is a formidable group. They led the league in interceptions while also racking up plenty of sacks and fumble recoveries. Their 'Legion of Boom' secondary will continue to punish receivers forcing turnovers and allowing the defensive line that extra second to get to the quarterback. Seattle could use more dynamic return games as they failed to register a return for a score and finished near the bottom of the league in total return stats.
though. What a win. Glad they are letting the kid(DangerRuss) air it out a bit more. Can't play QB in this league without the full playbook and stretching the field.
Hah.. I love Richard Sherman's bravado and persona, but certainly don't want to ...
