Strength of Schedule
Strength of Schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the DEF position. The easiest rating is 1 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the most difficult rating is 10 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Week 8 Projections
This defense is bending, but not giving up points. Over the last three games they have given up 1,110 yards, 370 yards /game and 47 points. They also have 12 sacks and five turnovers. The Saints do not give up many turnovers and they score a lot of points. Playing at New Orleans, consider sitting the Seahawks defense this week.
2 Sacks, 1 Ints, 0 Fumbles
Make no mistake, the Seattle Seahawks are a very good NFL defense. But of late that defensive prowess hasn't really translated to production for fantasy owners. In fact, the Seahawks haven't cracked the top 10 among fantasy defenses since their championship run in 2013. There's plenty of talent here in Cliff Avril, Michael Bennett, Bobby Wagner, Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas, and it would hardly be an earth-shattering development if the Seahawks were once again a top-10 (or even top-five) fantasy unit. The problem is that their reputation makes Seattle a prime candidate to be overdrafted by fantasy owners remembering the fearsome unit of a few years ago. Don't get caught chasing ghosts.
