Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the QB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
The fourth-year pro continues to back up Zach Mettenberger. Unless the rookie sixth-round pick suffers an injury or completely implodes on the field, don't expect to see Locker under center anytime soon.
The Titans' 2011 first-round pick is clearly facing a make-or-break season. Locker's contract is up after 2014. New Tennessee head coach/offensive play-caller Ken Whisenhunt obviously didn't draft Locker and supposedly isn't high on him as a franchise quarterback. Last season Locker was on pace to amass just 3,225 passing yards, 21 touchdown passes, 365 rushing yards and five rushing scores before he suffered a season-ending foot (Lisfranc) injury. Locker was fully recovered from offseason surgery and was expected to be ready for training camp. The fourth-year pro's lack of durability has hindered his development (14 missed games in the last two years because of injuries). Locker also has struggled with his accuracy (57.2 completion percentage). It's very questionable whether Locker can make the necessary pinpoint throws in Whisenhunt's quick-hitting passing attack. Tennessee's top-two receivers, Kendall Wright and Delaine Walker are returning, and the team is hoping Justin Hunter can develop into a reliable option. Assuming Locker keeps the starting job, he doesn't look like fantasy starter material. Locker could be holding a clipboard during the second half of the season should Whisenhunt decides he is not the guy to lead the franchise.
