Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the RB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
The Jets demonstrated their lack of confidence in Powell this offseason when they signed Mike Goodson and traded for Chris Ivory after letting Shonn Greene exit. Powell has shown progress in two seasons with the Jets, but he lacks the talent to be an every down back at this level. Ivory and Goodson are unproven as feature backs, so Powell could carve out a role for himself should they both falter.
