Fantasy Analysis
The versatile Jackson finds himself in the best situation of his career as the Falcons’ new starting tailback. Although Jackson has logged 2,802 career total touches and will turn 30 in July, he still is a productive and durable runner. Checking in at 6-foot-1, 236 pounds, Jackson is a relentless sledgehammer who possesses a unique blend of strength, size and power. He also plays with the heart of a warrior. The 10th-year pro is coming off his eighth straight 1,000-yard season. Jackson is also a very good receiver. He has averaged 45 catches per year, and SJax compiled a career-best 90 receptions in 2006. Last season, now-former Falcon Michael Turner touched the ball 241 total times (222 carries and 19 catches), so it’s safe to assume that Jackson will receive a similar workload at a minimum. Since the Atlanta passing game is so lethal, Jackson won’t run against regular seven- and eight-man fronts like he did during his playing days in St. Louis. Turner scored double-digit rushing touchdowns during each of his five seasons in a Falcons uniform, so Jackson has a good chance to hit pay dirt a similar number of times. Although Jackson comes with a mild durability risk, he has great fantasy RB2 value with upside.

Rushing: 861 Yards, 8 TD.
Receiving: 47 Receptions, 308 Yards, 1 TD.
