Fantasy Analysis
Week 3 Projections
The emergence of Marvin Jones as the top wide out for the Lions is cutting deeply into Tate's fantasy production. An extremely disappointing Week 2 has Tate on the fringe of being a fantasy bust.
Rushing: 2 Yards, 0 TD.
Receiving: 6 Receptions, 63 Yards, 0 TD.

Season Projections
If there was anyone in the state of Michigan that was happy to see Calvin Johnson retire, it was Tate. Back in 2014, when Johnson missed three games and was at less than 100% in several others, Tate had a career-year in regards to receptions (99) and receiving yards (1,331). He can play inside or out, and was 8th in the NFL last season with 525 'yards after catch.' Rather than go big and try to get a potential No. 1 wide receiver in the draft, the Lions were comfortable simply promoting Tate to No. 1 WR and signing Bengals' free agent wide receiver Marvin Jones. Jones is no threat to Tate's targets but should be a nice complementary player if he can stay healthy.

Rushing: 34 Yards, 0 TD.
Receiving: 87 Receptions, 898 Yards, 7 TD.
