Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Positives Led all fantasy RBs in shark scoring last season. He outscored the other top candidates for this spot (Peterson, Addai, SJax) by more than a TD per start last season. He's caught 60+ passes in each of the last 4 years, and he's one of only 3 guys to land in the fantasy top 5 overall twice in the past three years. Negatives Westy is undraftable if you can't be at your computer on Sunday morning, as he's always a game-time decision. Reliably misses a couple games a year. At 29, he's older than your ideal fantasy back. With 368 total touches in 2007, he touched the ball more than you're probably comfortable with in the long term. Draft Strategy This early, there's no question you are taking the best RB available. Follow your scoring system. We get points for catches and carries, and Westbrook will rack the points given this system. (Contributed by: Agenda42)
Round 1, Pick 2
Positives In a PPR league, I put Westbrook at #2 overall. The Eagles use him to do everything, if they struggle on the ground, they get him the ball in the air. Last year he had 8 games with 6+ receptions (including one 14 catch monster), and never did he have a week where he had combined yardage of less than 90. Philly still has a decent passing game to keep defenses honest so Westbrook should continue to excel. Negatives Not getting any younger and has been carrying the load for a long time. Did miss a game last year and was slowed towards the end of the season. Draft Strategy With the 1.02 pick in the draft, RB is a must. (Contributed by: doug_coutts)
Round 1, Pick 2
Positives This guy is a PPR machine. Just like every year, he will lead the league in receptions. He will also get his share of rushing yards and touches. Negatives Well, his durability is an issue and at some point he will be on the decline of his career. He is getting up there in years for a second pick in a fantasy draft. Draft Strategy I am not going to lie. I am not a big fan of the number two spot this year, because for such a high pick, there are many question marks to answer backs. However, I went with the best PPR back in the draft in Westbrook, now let's hope he stays healthy (Contributed by: Lundy)
