2008 Draft Central
Average Draft Position (ADP) Tracker
Draft Analysis
Round 5, Pick 6
Positives
Comes in this year as the starting RB in a Denver offense that can produce some great stats for RBs. My 2008 projections for him are 205/900/5 rushing and 30/215/1 receiving.
Negatives
Several backs are in the Denver camp this year who could conceivably take the starting roll if Young should falter. Young could get pulled in the red zone robbing him of TDs.
Draft Strategy
Was looking for that 3rd RB and S Young was the best on the board. With 25 RBs already off the board, I have him ranked as RB24. (Contributed by: dmcduke)

Round 5, Pick 7
Positives
Denver is a team that likes to run the ball and Selvin should be the main ball carrier for this team. Plus rookie Ryan Torain, expected to give Selvin the most competition for playing time, broke his elbow and will miss 2-3 months.
Negatives
Last year I expected big things from Travis Henry. I ended up very disappointed. I feel the same way about Young this year. I hope he comes through for me.
Draft Strategy
I need to take many RBs for my strategy to work. Selvin was the next one of my list and it was time to take him. (Contributed by: Greg_Allen)

Round 4, Pick 9
Positives
Young took over and did an admirable job when Travis Henry decided to be CHRONICally injured last season. He's not a big back, but can make that one cut needed to succeed in Denver's ZBS.
Negatives
His coach has frustrated anyone brave enough to draft a Denver RB since Clinton Portis headed to D.C. Michael Pittman was brought in and Ryan Torain was drafted while Andre Hall also lies in wait.
Draft Strategy
I probably should have grabbed my second WR with this pick, but wasn't liking the list of RB's remaining on the board. With a no-trade league, I had to cover my potential bases. Here's to Shanahan realizing that Selvin can be a RB to take a huge majority of the carries this season. (Contributed by: Stankweasels)
