Fantasy Analysis
Do you remember Murray’s breakout performance – 253 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown – against the St. Louis Rams in 2011? At the time, many thought Murray was on his way to becoming the Cowboys’ best runner since Hall-of-Famer Emmitt Smith. Unfortunately, Murray’s full fantasy potential remains untapped because he can’t stay healthy. The Oklahoma product has missed nine games because of nagging injuries over the course of his first two NFL seasons, which includes a string of six missed contests in 2012 due to a foot injury. When the explosive 6-foot, 214-pound Murray has toted the rock as a starter behind some inferior offensive lines during the last two years, he averaged 20 total touches and 115 total yards per contest but scored just six times. The third-year pro is also a solid receiver out of the backfield. Reading the offseason tea leaves, it looks like Dallas is going to trim Murray’s workload a smidge in an attempt to keep him reasonably healthy, but Murray still should average at least 15 total touches per outing. He is obviously a high-risk/high-reward player with fantasy RB2 potential. Rookie Joseph Randle is penciled in as Murray’s handcuff.

Rushing: 475 Yards, 4 TD.
Receiving: 25 Receptions, 275 Yards, 2 TD.
