Strength of Schedule
Strength of Schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the DEF position. The easiest rating is 1 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the most difficult rating is 10 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Week 3 Projections
The Tennessee Titans haven't been getting gashed in points allowed (20.0 per game), and they've averaged 2.0 sacks per outing. However, the potent Oakland Raiders offense (31.5 points scored per contest) hasn't committed any turnovers and has given up just one sack.
2 Sacks, 0 Ints, 0 Fumbles
Believe it or not, the Titans weren't such a bad defensive team in 2015, ranking 12th in the NFL in total defense. Tennessee is hoping that improves even more in 2016, now that Dick LeBeau has taken the reins from the departed Ray Horton. In fact, LeBeau told the team's website he expects Tennessee to finish in the top 10 this season. 'I definitely think it is important to (the players),' LeBeau said. 'And I think they'll fight to do that. The run defense is something we highlighted as a necessity. I think it has greatly improved and that's the reason our defense has improved quite honestly. We have to continue to do that.' If the Titans accomplish that and improve their scoring defense (27th in 2015) they could be a late fantasy bargain, but for now the Titans are a 'wait and see' squad unless the matchup is especially favorable.
