Season Projections
In IDP, it's J.J. Watt's world, and we're all just living in it. Not only is the 27-year-old easily the top defensive player at any position, but if your league gives any real weight to IDPs the edge Watt affords over every other defensive lineman makes him a legitimate first-round pick. As Chris Wesseling of NFL.com wrote, 'Winner of three of the past four Defensive Player of the Year awards, Watt is the dominant, game-wrecking defensive force of his generation. He now ranks with Lawrence Taylor and Reggie White as the most devastating defenders ever to stalk the gridiron.' Yes -- Watt really is just that good. The problem is in late July Watt had back surgery -- surgery that puts his early season availability in doubt. He's still the No. 1 overall IDP, but the risk level involved in drafting him has gone WAY up.
