Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the LB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
It's been a tumultuous 12 months for San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith. Five missed games during the 2013 season. Multiple run-ins with the law in the offseason, including reportedly yelling 'Bomb!' in LAX. Now, after pleading guilty to DUI and weapons charges, Smith is likely looking at a vacation to start the 2014 NFL season, courtesy of commissioner Roger Goodell. Opinions on the length of that suspension have run the gamut from three to eight games, and while we tend to side with the low end of those projections, until we get an exact read on how long Smith will miss assessing his IDP value for 2014 is a dicey bet. What isn't is that when healthy and right in the head, Smith has IDP LB1 upside, especially in big-play leagues.
