Strength of Schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the TE position. The easiest rating is 1 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the most difficult rating is 10 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Last week, the Jaguars made good on their promise to get Thomas more involved. The fifth-year pro racked up five catches for 28 yards and his second touchdown grab of the season during his team's win over the Tennessee Titans. Thomas looks like a decent start against a San Diego Chargers defense that ceded the eighth-most fantasy points to the tight end position during the last month.
Thomas parlayed back-to-back 12-touchdown seasons into a very nice contract with the Jaguars. Of course, he was also catching passes from first ballot Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning during those seasons. He will now be playing with a second-year quarterback in Blake Bortles in an offense that finished 31st overall last year. The drop off from Manning to Bortles will be a severe one and Thomas will see a definite drop in production. He has battled lower leg injuries throughout his career which is another red flag. The bloom is off this rose as Thomas will not be the fantasy option he has been in the past but he still makes a low-end fantasy starting option.
