Strength of Schedule
Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the RB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Fantasy Analysis
Heading into the 2012 season, many predicted the then-rookie James would slide into a third-down role from the get-go, but the dynamic playmaker surprisingly didn’t receive any touches on offense until Week 14. From that point through the Super Bowl, San Francisco used James only in a modest game-day role. He averaged just six total touches and 33 total yards per contest, and never gained more than 49 total yards in a game. James also scored just one touchdown but lost two fumbles. With training camp approaching, the 49ers haven’t revealed how they will use James in 2013, but they’ve been talking up the small 5-foot-8, 195-pounder as three-down back material, which seems unrealistic. On the other hand, Kendall Hunter is coming off a torn Achilles’ tendon, so James could enter the regular season as Frank Gore’s backup. Barring injuries, James is not expected to touch the ball regularly enough to qualify as a safe fantasy option, but keep an eye on how San Francisco uses him in the preseason.

Rushing: 125 Yards, 1 TD.
Receiving: 10 Receptions, 45 Yards, 0 TD.
