Season Projections
As Stephen Holder of the Indy Star reported, 2014 was something of a down year for Freeman. 'Remember when Freeman was a sideline-to-sideline playmaker,' Holder said, 'great against the run and in coverage? Well, we didn't that guy so much in 2014, with injuries likely contributing to him taking a step back from the year before.' It's true that the 29-year-old saw his numbers dip substantially, and his IDP in fantasy drafts in 2015 has followed suit. So far, in fact, that a healthy Freeman could represent a nice value for IDP owners in 2015 as a LB3 pick capable of LB2 production. After all, prior to last year Freeman topped 125 tackles in each of his two NFL seasons since being plucked from the ranks of the CFL.
