Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the QB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Making his triumphant return after sitting out 2011 because of multiple neck surgeries, Manning set new Denver single-season franchise records for passing yards and touchdown tosses, and nearly duplicated his 2010 season statistics. Manning also threw for a very fantasy friendly average of 291 yards and 2.3 touchdown passes per game. If you disregard the four-time MVP’s neck surgery season, he has averaged 4,383 passing yards and 32 touchdown tosses per year since 2006. The 37-year-old Manning has lost a little firepower on his deep ball, but it wasn’t noticeable until the Broncos’ playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens. However, No. 18 is still an extremely accurate and productive pocket passer. The Broncos do an excellent job of protecting their immobile franchise quarterback; Manning was sacked just 21 times. Denver added Wes Welker and Montee Ball to Manning’s talented supporting cast that already included Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker. By the way, Manning said during the offseason that his arm feels stronger than it did in 2012. The Broncos triggerman looks primed for another productive season. Don’t expect Manning to slide into the middle rounds of fantasy drafts again.
