There are any number of reasons to be suspicious of Osi Umenyiora's IDP prospects in 2014. There's the 34-year-old's relatively disappointing first season in Atlanta, in which Umenyiora managed only 7.5 sacks and saw his snap count diminish as the season went on. Or the fact that Umenyiora hasn't recorded double-digit sacks in a season since 2010, and only once in the past five years. Or how about the Falcons' switch to more 3-4 looks in 2014, which could in turn mean Umenyiora being re-classified as a linebacker by some fantasy providers. Just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. Add all those factors together, and there's too much risk to make any real investment in Umenyiora in 2014.
