Season Projections
The journeyman passer is suiting up for his fourth different team in the last three years. Looking back at Cassel's 2015 season to forget, the Bills showed him the door after Week 1 because the struggling signal caller wasn't worth the $4 million dollar price tag. Cassel also bombed during an eight-game stint with the Cowboys, which included seven brutal starts, and was eventually sent packing. The 34-year-old Cassel is cautiously expected to hold off a preseason challenge from Alex Tanney (he's a fourth-year pro with one regular-season appearance on his NFL r?sum?) and land the backup job behind Marcus Mariota. During Cassel's time in Dallas, the flaws in his game, particularly the 12th-year pro's very shaky accuracy and happy feet in the pocket, easily explain the subpar numbers. In the six starts that he finished, Cassel averaged just 191 passing yards and 0.7 touchdown passes per game. Cassel also threw for more than 230 yards just once and tossed multiple scoring strikes in only one contest. Assuming Cassel wins the No. 2 gig and is pressed into starting duties, he's not a fantasy option - not even close.

Passing: 2600 Yards, 16 TD, 14 INT.
Rushing: 150 Yards, 0 TD.
