Fantasy Analysis

With fellow running back Jonathan Stewart on the PUP list due to ankle injuries, Williams started the 2013 season strong. He burst out of the gate strong but the bloom was quickly off the rose as Williams failed to live up to his early season success. Despite the Panthers making the playoffs, the running game in Carolina was a mess last season and looks to be the same in 2014. Williams will be 31 years old and stuck in a time-share with not only Stewart but also fullback Mike Tolbert who is the goal-line running back. There is also the fact that quarterback Cam Newton is another option to score rushing touchdowns and actually led the team last season with six. Williams is nothing more than roster padding as far as fantasy purposes are concerned.

Rushing: 800 Yards, 7 TD.
Receiving: 15 Receptions, 125 Yards, 0 TD.
