Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the RB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Williams (thigh) tentatively is expected to return after sitting out two games. Since Jonathan Stewart (sprained knee) and Mike Tolbert (hairline leg fracture) will both miss Week 4, Williams is expected to receive the bulk of the Carolina backfield touches. However, he draws a tough matchup against a Baltimore Ravens defense that has given up just 89.7 rushing yards per contest and two rushing touchdowns. Thanks to his workload, you should consider him a fantasy RB3 with upside. UPDATE 9/27/14: Williams (thigh) took part in a full Friday practice. He is listed as PROBABLE.
With fellow running back Jonathan Stewart on the PUP list due to ankle injuries, Williams started the 2013 season strong. There is also the fact that quarterback Cam Newton is another option to score rushing touchdowns and actually led the team last season with six. Williams is nothing more than roster padding as far as fantasy purposes are concerned.
