Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the DL position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
For the third time in four seasons, Charles Johnson posted double-digit sacks for the Carolina Panthers in 2013. However, Johnson missed two games, saw his tackle production fall off by more than 25 percent, experienced a huge drop-off in forced fumbles, and free-fell all the way out of the top 25. Adding insult to injury last year, Johnson's fantasy owners watched as Greg Hardy stole the show with 15 sacks and top-five fantasy numbers. Hardy may well have usurped Johnson as the Panthers' best pass-rusher, but at 27 Johnson isn't ready for pasture just yet. You may not want to trust Johnson as your DL1 any longer, but you could do a lot worse for your DL2.
