Season Projections
Early in the 2013 season, it looked like Jon Beason might be done. Once one of the NFL's most feared young linebackers, injuries had sapped Beason to the point the Carolina Panthers effectively gave up on him. However, a mid-season trade to the New York Giants lit a fire under the 29-year-old, so much so that in 12 games with Big Blue (including 11 starts), Beason racked up 93 tackles. However, over that span with the Giants Beason ranked only 29th among fantasy linebackers in Fantasy Sharks Default IDP Scoring, mostly due to a lack of big plays. Beason's extensive injury history can't be ignored, but the Giants thought enough of the performance to re-up Beason, and as a three-down MIKE Beason's at the very least worth a look as a mid-range IDP LB3 in 2014.
