Fantasy Analysis
As expected, the Michael Turner-led “ground-and-pound offense” went the way of the dinosaur in Atlanta last season, and the team’s new vertical passing attack propelled Ryan into the ranks of the top-level fantasy quarterbacks. He compiled career-high numbers across the board, which included a franchise record 4,719 passing yards. On the season, the sixth-year pro threw for an average of 295 yards and two touchdowns per contest. However, Ryan, a pocket passer with an above-average arm, did very little with his legs and won’t impress as a scrambler anytime soon. All of the 28-year-old Ryan’s weapons are returning – Roddy White, Julio Jones, Tony Gonzalez and Jacquizz Rodgers – and new starting tailback Steven Jackson, who is a proven receiver, will provide Ryan with yet another capable target. By the way, Ryan, who has not missed a regular-season outing in three years, suffered an injury to his left (non-throwing) shoulder during Atlanta’s playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but he didn’t need surgery and will be ready for training camp. The stage is set for another great season from the Falcons triggerman.

Passing: 4125 Yards, 31 TD, 14 INT.
Rushing: 95 Yards, 2 TD.
