Fantasy Analysis
Week 1 Projections
Rushing: 2 Yards, 0 TD.
Receiving: 7 Receptions, 73 Yards, 1 TD.

Season Projections
If there was anyone in the state of Michigan that was happy to see Calvin Johnson retire, it was Tate. Back in 2014, when Johnson missed three games and was at less than 100% in several others, Tate had a career-year in regards to receptions (99) and receiving yards (1,331). He can play inside or out, and was 8th in the NFL last season with 525 yards after catch. Rather than go big and try to draft a potential No. 1 wide receiver in the draft, the Lions were comfortable simply promoting Tate to No. 1 WR and signing Bengals' free agent wide receiver Marvin Jones. Jones is no threat to Tate's targets but should be a nice complementary player should he be able to stay healthy.

Receiving: 35 Receptions, 400 Yards, 4 TD.
